Week-long sessions for ages 3-13.
Every summer camp experience depends most on those entrusted with your child’s well-being. Our counselors are trained to build family-like structures to take care of each other. Frankly, it’s why parents have selected Phantom Lake for more than 120 years. It is why so many of our counselors return year after year. Our counselors want younger kids to experience camp just like they did.
Day Camp activities are designed toward skill levels appropriate for each age group. Campers will experience success while building skills that will last a lifetime.
The camp philosophy is based on the bible verse Luke 2:52, “And Jesus increased in wisdom, and in stature, and in favor with God and man.” These four areas of growth are symbolized by the four sides of the Phantom Square. Camps Mini-Tyke, Zicahota and Nagi help your child grow in self-confidence. They will discover the ability to work and play within the camp group and develop a love and appreciation for each other and the world.
The heart of the day camp experience is found in small close-knit groups of campers. Three to ten children, together with their counselors, participate in a large variety of activities that are geared toward camper skill level and age.
Activities include swimming, funyaking, canoeing, water trampoline, sports, hiking, high ropes course, zip-line, nature activities, arts & crafts, singing, group games, skits, theme days, archery and many more.
Day Camp Programs

Camp Mini-Tyke (ages 3-6)
Camp Mini-tyke is created for boys and girls from 3 to 6 years of age. Choose from either a morning program for your 3-6 year old or a full-day program for your 4-6 year old. Each child is grouped according to age which allows campers to participate in thoughtfully planned, age-appropriate activities. All campers must be completely toilet trained.

Camp Zicahota (ages 7-12)
Camp Zicahota is designed for those campers that are between the ages of 7 to 12 years old. Zicahota offers more challenges and experiences for this age group. Camp Zichahota is a full day program with extended care options available for parents.

Camp Nagi (ages 12-13)
Camp Nagi is designed to give campers a set of enhanced challenges by offering activities geared at older kids to build leadership and life skills. The program will foster the ideas of leadership, pride and responsibility in a safe environment. Campers will participate in individual and group goal setting, camp improvements, and outdoor skill sessions.

Day Camp Programming is age-based.
Phantom Lake YMCA Camp is licensed through Waukesha County DCF. Our day camp programs meet the strict guidelines established by the state of Wisconsin. NOTE: We can’t mix the groups due to these licensing requirements.
Day Camp groups are Coed.

Sibling Discount
We will deduct $50 for any additional sibling attending any session.
We apply the discounts manually after we receive the registration.

Groupmate Requests
Campers may request to be in the same group with 2 friends. If there are groups of more than 3, PLYC will decide groups at our discretion. (requests must be mutual and the campers must be in the same program and within one year of age).
Day Camp – Dates & Rates
A $50 Nonrefundable Deposit per session due to hold a spot. Balance due 2 weeks prior to the session they are attending. Your child is not registered until the payment or deposit is received. *If you don’t want to have to worry about having to remember to pay the balance by the date it is due-check the “Credit Card-Auto Process” and we will process the balance on the due date.
