Phantom Lake YMCA Camp Announces The Hollows October Weekend Event Dates
Phantom Lake YMCA Camp, the oldest YMCA Camp in the nation, announced October event dates for The Hollows at Phantom Lake YMCA, a ticketed event where 15,000-plus visitors wind their way through wooded trails illuminated with magical scenes composed of thousands of hand-carved Jack-o-Lanterns. Proceeds from the annual event, which is held on weekends throughout October, help fund hundreds of scholarships for campers with challenges from physical to emotional to financial who would not otherwise be able to attend summer camp.
“The funds raised annual from the event support the very foundation of our ability to deliver a camp experience driven by safety, stability, service, and satisfaction,” Phantom Lake YMCA Camp CEO Jeff Spang said. “It also allows us to do something you don’t see often from nonprofits—provide funds to other community nonprofits to support their missions.”
This year, The Hollows also designated three local nonprofits to receive funds raised during the month of October along the wooded shores of Phantom Lake in Mukwonago. The HAASE House, Mukwonago YMCA, and The Optimist Club of Mukwonago. Each nonprofit will receive a percentage of proceeds from the days they volunteered at The Hollows to help support their missions.
